From MHYC member Peter Young: Pilgrim was a MHYC boat. It was an S&S 39 built by Doug Brooker for Graham Evans. It was the top 1 tonner then, crew included David Kellett and Jimmy Burke.

Graham Evans (Pilgrim) won the Sydney-Brisbane race in record time in 1972,  and did well to gain second in the World One Ton Cup in New Zealand.
